Hummingbird Sips at the Nectar of my Sorrow
Hummingbird Sips at the Nectar of my Sorrow
Another painting on clay in this series, where a painted hummingbird come into to sip the tears of sorrow from this woman’s cheek. The process for these paintings that I used is typically drawing with a sharp object onto the wet or leather hard clay. This is called sgraffito. Then the clay slab is bisque fired and painted with acrylic paint, after epoxying it to a specially built panel to frame it.
The painting is wired on back and ready to hang. Original painting with acrylic paint on bisque fired clay in painted wood panel. Only one of its kind.
