A new Arabesque porcelain star plate that has a feeling of Wedgewood china to me. A hamsa stencil was used to resist turquoise underglaze and a deeper blue was painted on the bisque fired textured points of the star and then wiped off to reveal the porcelain. Relief dots in blue and white make this an extra special piece. Perfect for a piece of birthday cake on it!

The back was stamped with texture, and painted with turquoise and blue underglaze. The simple design of the back is a perfect complement to the intricate design on the front. Finally it glazed with a clear matte glaze and fired to cone 5. Food safe. Hand washing recommended.
