A new piece just out of the kiln, another porcelain tulipiere has a very Middle Eastern quality, reflecting my heritage. These pieces are very tricky to make: the clay must be at the perfect state of wetness to attach, and dryness to not collapse and hold up the weight as the coils are carefully placed. The slightly cattywampus look gives it character!

In beautiful cobalt blues and turquoise, the openings allow for beautiful arrangements of your fresh garden bouquets. Porcelain decorated while still wet clay with stamps, image transfers, and then glazed and fired to cone 5.
